Structura monococă a lui Porsche 918 Spyder realizată din CFRP (polimer randforsat cu fibră de carbon), ceea ce promite nu doar o foarte bună rigiditate, ci şi o masă extrem de redusă pentru o maşină hibridă performantă: doar 1.685 kg sau chiar 1.640 kg cu pachetul ”Weisach” – care presupune culori speciale şi anumite detalii realizate din fibră de carbon.
În plus, manevrabilitatea maşinii va fi mult îmbunătăţită datorită sistemului PAA (Porsche Active Aerodynamic), care constă din elemente aerodinamice ajustabile şi care permit trei moduri de condus: ”Race”, ”Sport” şi ”E” (în care eleronul, spoilerul spate şi flapsurile sunt total închise).
